What is a ship fender?
A ship fender is an inflatable fender suspended from the side of the ship, which is placed on the fender of the deck when the ship is sailing, or deflated on the deck. When the vessel is docked or in contact with other vessels, the two ends of the rope or chain are placed in the contact position.
The equipment of Marine fender is now a necessary product for many large ships to sail.
When the ship docks or platforms, the dock does not have a suitable rubber fender to prevent collision, the Marine fender shows its role. The rubber fender is pressed to the specified pressure, and placed on the ship and the dock, the platform and other places that need protection by docking, to best protect your ship.
When a ship is in barge operation, the two ships need to maintain a safe distance directly, so the ship fender needs to be placed between the two ships to prevent the push of the waves from bringing the ships too close together.
What is a dock fender?
The dock fender is a rubber inflatable fender hanging on the side of the dock and platform, which is placed on the water surface when a ship is docked. Leave enough room for the fender to rotate and unload. When not in use, it should be deflated to a place without direct sunlight and away from acid and alkali.
Similarities between ship fender and dock fender:
Both serve the same purpose, to cushion the ship when it is docked.
Differences between ship fender and dock fender:
The place of suspension is not the same, the ship's fender is suspended on the ship, and the dock fender is generally connected by the dock's traction ring.
